Free Website Creator Info

Building a free website is a great way to start making money. However, knowing where to start is not always the easiest choice to make. After years of trying various website creators, Wix still reigns supreme for being the easiest builder to learn how to use.

Still, before you can start taking in money, you have to understand what you are doing. Don't worry, these simple step-by-step instructions will have you up and running in short time.

First step:

Decide what product or service you want to earn a living from. For selling products without inventory, I would highly recommend using Shopify. They give you two free weeks to build your website and they provide plenty of, "Apps", which offer a variety of dropship products to sell at no upfront costs to you. Dropshipping is where you sell the products and then order them from the supply company to be delivered straight to your customers doorstep. The great thing about Shopify is that orders are automatically processed. They also offer free merchant accounts for accepting payment. After two weeks, they charge $29 a month for, "Hosting", your online store.

However, if you want to offer your own products or services such as housekeeping, then I would recommend using Wix which stays free and the cost of obtaining a domain name, (i.e. freerealhelp.com) costs $13 a year but comes with added features such as a matching email address.

Second Step:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can seem overwhelming but it really is fairly simple in nature. To start with, I would recommend using this website to get your website listed with this website:

Third Step:

Getting your website listed with Google Search Console is a bit trickier but follow these few steps and you will be listed on the largest search engine database.

Once you list your Wix website with them, return to your Wix editor and follow these steps:

A) Click on the Menus and Pages button.

B) Click on the three dots, (...)

C) Select Advanced SEO.

Although it does not readily appear, there is a blue scroll bar on the right hand side. Use it to scroll down to Custom HTML Tag.

D) Go back to Google Search Console and copy the HTML Tag from the choices you have for verifying ownership.

E) Paste the HTML Tag into the Advanced SEO Custom HTML Tag box.

F) Save your website and select publish.

G) Return to the Google Search Console and click verify.

That's all there is to it. Once you have verified your website with Google, you will get a pop-up under the console letting you know that you are good to go.

Fourth Step:

SEO Tips and Tricks that will help your website increase in search engine rankings. Start by adding content. Writing articles about your products or product related matters is a great way to increase ranking by adding quality write-ups.

Another old trick is to create backlinks by posting your products on social media. Pinterest is a great way to share your product pictures. With Facebook, and using Shopify, you can actually automatically add your products to a designated Facebook Store Page for free. Instagram and Twitter are also two good outlets for introducing your company and brand.

With Shopify, make sure you add what is called, "Alt-image tags". Not only do these tags allow blind people to hear what the image is but Google really appreciates you taking the time to do this.

Tags can also be added in Wix and Shopify which helps people tying in searches to find your business. ALWAYS be sure to add tags but try to keep each tag to one word, product or service related and use only five tags per page. Google does frown on overwhelming tags, unrelated tags and tags that are misleading, and rightfully so.
